Advanced Athlete Base Building Camp in Algarve, Portugal
21 to 28 January 2023
This camp will be facilitated by Scientific Triathlon coaches Mikael Eriksson and James Teagle with the aim of providing you with a really solid week of aerobic endurance training to set you up for a great season. Our training base is the town of Loulé and specifically the Loulé Jardim Hotel. This location provides easy access to the quiet roads and hills of the Algarve and a good 25 m swimming pool within walking distance. Athletes should expect to complete 18-30hrs of training split between swimming, biking and running. Most of the training stress will come in the form of aerobic endurance training supplemented with one faster session in each of the three disciplines. Accommodation, breakfast and dinner are included in the camp price. Lunch is the athlete's own responsibility. On days where we ride over lunch, there will be good café stop options. Supermarkets are also located nearby the hotel for stocking up on additional snacks to get you through the week.
